Elder Futhark, I Presume  

{The Heathen and the Christian /// Vikings and Saints … not just football} 
                This is a story about a Heathen and a Christian. The Patriarchal religions, Christianity and Islam, are not about God; but politics, and suspiciously both of these religions originate from the same region of the world.  

        Their plan seems to be to split the world in two and have a perpetual war that will last forever and ever, amen.  As Huey P. Newton said “War is politics with bloodshed." Religion is politics.
      

Whereas a shield can deflect a spear or sword and a Kevlar vest can protect vital organs from a gunshot, it is difficult to unburden a mind that has been riddled with spirit crushing deceptions forced on them since their youth.  
A question came up on a forum, Yahoo Answers, wondering where can a person go for help when recovering from these misogynist and nature hating religions?

 I was trying to think of how a person can firm up their resolve and restore their pride in themselves, and as I was thinking of a response, I was going to suggest sighchiatry, but then realized that it has been humor that has gotten many people through the nonsense in life and therapists just aren’t that funny.

When George Carlin talks about religion he used to say this about God,"....He'll send you to burn and scream and cry and choke for all of eternity........but he loves you" Here’s the solution, I said, tell your friend, to try and imagine what heaven is actually like.
            

Two people died and ended up in the same afterlife space. One as a follower of the Norse or Northern Tradition who has died and he wakes up as if from a dream and begins walking on a marshmallow cloud till he sees a green pasture coming into view and a bedraggled man with a cross around his neck. 
          Last thing he remembered, he was coming home with some chips and…then he realized he was able to fly and was about to take flight but Christian says "Hey, where's Jesus? We're dead..... right? Where‘s Jesus?"

           "Let's go find 'im dude. No appointment calendar here," the Heathen said just a bit puzzled at this behavior.  'Hope this dude doesn’t harsh my afterlife mellow' he thought to himself.

              A flock of birds go by and the Heathen and the Christian join them, easily lifting into the air. "Hey , where's Jesus?" the Christian kept repeating to the flock. "This is the way of the birds" one of the birds finally says and then, "Fly with us."

 "Where's St Peter, and the angels?" The birds fly away and the Heathen realizes this Christian is somehow getting stressed out in heaven and may need some help.                 After standing around a bit, they walked down a quiet country road and came on some gypsy wagons. "Hey, where's Jesus!!" A dancer spins over to him without stopping her dance and placed a silly hat on his head. "Cerridwen is here with us today--be at peace and embrace the spirit of the goddess."

        The Christian was still restless but seemed to have bonded with the heathen, so they leave and walked down the road and then the slowly winding path began to climb upward. Suddenly they look to their left and a glowing presence in a grove beckoned them. She has a bow and arrow and the Christian instinctively goes for his gun  but the heathen suddenly realizes that it is Diana of myth. "Diana?" 

    How can this be, he asks himself and remembers the rejection he felt when his coven became 'Dianic' and he was told to find another coven. "Aren't you a womens only goddess?" the Heathen asks as the Christian seems more puzzled than ever.

         "We are balancing the male and female in the material world as it has always been in the spiritual world. Go, find the answer." Stated Diana.

So one of the heathens life traumas has been resolved but now what is next? If there is such a balance of male and female.... then where are the Gods? Why are we only seeing Goddesses?

A dude on a mountain bike clambers by and suddenly the Christians eyes light up. "It's Jesus, it's Jesus! holy moly bagoly it's my personal savior!!!" There wasn't enough exclamation points to express his delight. 

The Heathen gamely tried to keep up after conjuring up a bicycle and the three of them come upon a campfire where a bunch of men were drinking mead and yelling OOGA! Go Vikings! OOGA OOGA OOGA. SKOL SKOL SKOL.Then the Heathen remembers he was riding home to watch the Packers and Vikings Monday Night Football game and ....then the car hit him and....

"Jesus...is that you? Who are all these idiots?"

Jesus says, "Excuse me. Rude much? Yes, I am Jesus and what did I say about loving your neighbor?"
The Christian looked down contritely, "...oh ..sorry."

"Let me introduce you to Odin ...and Thor is over there passing out hot wings and there is Svarog tapping another keg. There's Buddha and Perun and Joseph my father (waving, so proud of that boy), and there's Pope Paul the second with the Saints cap on."  Walking further into the outdoor sports bar we meet Giles Corey and Jacques DeMolay and all the rest of the gods and by now the Christian has forgotten the myth about St. Peter and the pearly gates and how pagans and atheists were all going to hell. Finally the Christian turns to the heathen and says-"I was lied to."                         
 "Ya think?"

EVERYONE ELSE WAS INDEPENDENT AND PAGAN

        "Get these fellas a drink....Arrrr!!!" Jesus puts his arms around the Heathen and the Christian both, pretending he was going to knock their heads together. 

                                                                 

Suddenly a giant noise erupts, "Turn it up" said one of the gods. "The Vikings have scored first in this game and the kick is up and it's...gooooood. Vikings lead 7 nothing." A thunderous roar and a head-ringing clap of thunder interrupted the scene. 

        It was late January 2020 and the Vikings beat those fucking Packers on Monday Night Football and it seemed that the Fates were setting up for the Vikings to get their first Super Bowl victory. The gods were on their side at least. 
        "Couldn't Lamar Jackson have an 'accident'" the Heathen gamefully asked Jesus. Ravens are hot and favored to win the Super Bowl.
        "Can't do that shit from here.' he said dismissively even though the Heathen was a Vikings fan and it was the only question he asked. 

Jesus turns to the Christian who couldn't stop asking questions, "Now be respectful will ya...and watch the game. You got the rest of eternity for questions. This is one of the greatest pleasures in the universe. NFL playoff on earth! Hot Cheese Golden Mead and Nachos!” then he turned to the christian and said, 
                           

“Trust me I will banish you to a bowling alley in Cleveland if you can’t keep quiet.”

   By halftime, things were going well for the Vikings and Odin got up to tell a story. The screen went blank during the lame-o halftime show.

          Did Viking women and children talk about the violence the men were perpetuating? Did they ask why their Viking husbands and fathers drove gigantic nails into peoples heads or pulled out victims lungs to watch them flap as the person died? The extreme violence was a shameful face to the regular Joe type of Viking that wasn’t pillaging and burning. We never hear about the more sensitive paganism of the Norsemen or their rugged self sufficiency.

        Women were highly regarded in Viking society  and unlike christian strictness, viking society had more fun and people dealt with each other as people not co-religionists.                                                Perhaps the villagers had no idea of the scope of violence. Maybe only a small segment of Viking society were homicidal maniacs. Maybe there was nothing the folks in the village could do to stop the enthusiastic approach to gore.  These people and many others weren't savages but regular folks who were mischaracterized.  

                       
            Some Christians believed the Vikings were an advance guard of what God was sending to begin the apocalypse.    

          The Christian and the Heathen walked away after the playoff game was done and eventually came across an ocean shoreline. 
The Heathen saw the mermaid first and they found no trouble following her when she beckoned. On the ocean floor they saw Neptune and Jurate the ocean goddess. There appeared to be a panel or council of sorts that were asking Jurate and Neptune some questions. Apparently, it was a training session for spirit guides. "Where's the angels?" asked the Christian.

"That's them," he said as they looked at a wide variety of people and animals. Jurate was trying to take Neptune to task and was imploring him to slow down volcanic outbursts in the Pacific and to try and calm down the Caribbean tectonic plate.
        "Humans need to be away from the shore. The estuaries and bays and inlets are for migrating birds and pollinating insects. Besides I can't help, only the Mother can direct the plates." replied Neptune.

"Let's warn them about the Tsunamis” pleaded Jurate.  The next great 9.0 quake will be further east, closer to the Puerto Rico Trench, the deepest subduction zone in the Atlantic. In a few short weeks Tsunamis would wash over Bermuda and the Bahamas and then Florida. A normal geological event that would have gone unnoticed 100,000 years ago however

"We can't baby them, there are lessons they need to learn," insisted Poseiden, one of the three male ocean gods. 
Jurate is a gentle goddess and THE female ocean Goddess, and she is in anguish when her oceans create havoc. Neptune has also threatened to magmatize the Seamount Volcano off the coast of Oregon. Undiscovered till five years ago it is the biggest volcano on earth.
        If that blows, there won't be any air travel for six months not to mention a drastic drop in food production. Probably won't pass council, luckily for us.
           The Heathen wanted to ask Jurate about the legend of the Fisherman and the Amber Castle, but she seemed pretty busy.

"What about global warming," asked someone on the panel.
       "Global warming is happening in an unpreceded manner due to the petroleum suicide of the humans, but the real problem is the pollution caused by a billion cars and the factories of Industrial Capitalism," stated Neptune. "All our floating friends have plastic in their gut and I'm getting pissed."

"Filth from boats too," added Jurate, I feel so unwell at times and it's rapidly getting worse," she added. "My reefs are dying at a mass extinction rate...." This was all too interesting but the duo got the itch to move on.

        They swam on and came upon a sign in front of a giant underwater stadium. Inside Jimi Hendrix was the Ringmaster for the "Neptune Games" and they watched.

        Now what do they do, they wondered to themselves? Another mermaid was leading a large crowd of spirits and they followed her. She swam along the bottom and they followed her and saw an incredible variety of the oceans living creatures. Soon they came upon a large outlet for a river, the Amazone. Vegetarian crocodiles and toothless Piranhas floated by, the they came across   the Queen of the mermaids herself, Yemaya.

        They talked about the variety of starfish. "I never heard of the Brittlestar."

        What do you think of evolution now Christian?" Yemaya had showed them how the evolution in the oceans happened. The Brittlestars are our ancient ancestors.
        The Christian was surprised to learn another starfish, the Feather Star was also one of the ancient creatures that helped the evolution of sea life. "Well, I'll say one thing about the afterlife.....I'm glad the atheists were wrong." The voodoo mermaid Yemaya waved over to them and said, "Come on back when you can."

They had flown out of the water and recognized features of America--the land of their birth. Flying west it had become dark again and the Christian said, "Heaven sure isn't what I thought it would be."

"I don't think we've seen it’s entirety my friend. I guess you got here by default because this is kind of what I wished for with Odin and Thor and I knew a little about Jurate and Perkunas of the Romuva tradition. That wasn't exactly Valhalla back there with Odin. I would love to ask someone about Freya. She was my favorite." Suddenly they were over Hopi land in a small niche of soil against a southern facing cliff. At the bottom ,a Hopi elder was planting corn.

 He held his old planting stick he has been using for nearly 50 years and began poking holes in the ground and throwing corn kernels. The Christian and the Heathen felt a looming presence behind them and when they looked, a Goddess appeared to them.
         “The Corn Mother?” Knowing some native American folklore, this was a good guess.

“I am Freya, goddess of all that lives in the earth.”

The Christian chuckled to himself and said, “the bugs and worms and…”

“….and all the roots of every plant.” The sun came out and she hastened them to leave as the Christian contemplated what she said. “Heat and cold, sun or moon, there are no limits for you now, journey onwards.” She left them and became a mist that settled on Larry Two Hawks field while Larry stood there and was silently thankful.

“Where do you want to go now Christian?”

“Hawaii, American Samoa and Australia.”

“And you?”

“Mt. Everest and the North Pole, Hail Boreas.”

They flew over more time zones till the waxing moon came into view and by merely wishing they were at the moon in seconds. Then they heard, “I am the voice of the Ancient Mother. The one eye open as she sleeps.  My sister Zorya greets the dawn and Our Father the sun brings life and I am Zvoruna, goddess of the Moon.”

        They asked her how many goddesses were there altogether and she explained, “I am not a goddess but an aspect of the Ancient Mother. There are 9 goddesses and 23 gods.” She had a large retinue in tow and so they diverged and continued their afterlife vacation. 

After Everest they went to the North Pole and encountered Sedena, protector of the Innuits. The Goddess of the cold north, she showed them an arctic mirage.

“What’s that?”

“That is Greenland off in the distance. This is how the Vikings discovered Greenland. They saw the land reflected in the sky and sailed for the land that appeared on the horizon.”

Sedena said, “well Mr. Christian, guess who was the first European to discover America?”

“I guess it was the Vikings,” he said begrudgingly.

“No it wasn’t. The history books never recorded that an Irish monk born in 905 A.D. was the first European in North America In 936 he spent 45 days looking for Iceland but found Newfoundland instead. There are no written tales of him but he was there.”

“A monk?”

“Yes monks were early explorers of my land looking for heathens to convert. His ship was battered and he never sailed again after marrying a ‘skraeling’ and eventually becoming a heathen himself calling himself Treegeld.”

“So a Christian discovered America?” The Christian still held out a little hope for his long held beliefs.

“The Indians discovered America of course and the Great Spirit was strong then, but yes, a Christian was the first European to discover America.”

Other recently dead clamored for Sedenas attention and the crowd wandered away.

In an instant they were transported to an unrecognizable place. A sunny day and what appeared to be coliseum seats in a giant park filled with fascinating brickwork they marveled at.

        “The Protestant Deformation,” said a Goddess derisively. The Christian slowly turned and there appeared to be Mary, the mother of Jesus. The golden threads of her gown glowed as she addressed them.

“Baptist, what IS IT with you people? Catholics are not Christians I see here on your blog.”

“Well….”

      “It’s okay, things are changing soon. I can’t reveal the details but Baptists and Catholics will soon have some common ground to agree on.

        There’s just us, “she admitted waving her arm to the horizons. “My son Jesus, such a good boy, and Thor and Freya and the elementals and angels and all the rest. There are no demons. Period, End of story. Have you seen Jesus yet?” she asked the christian who was not feeling very christian any longer.

        “Uh, ….he was busy watching a game,”  he sheepishly acknowledged while realizing his personal savior would rather watch a game then greet him into heaven.

       “Where is your fan club Mary? Aren’t you the most popular goddess?”

        “Well, keep in mind I don’t need breaks or sleep and after people talk with me they generally are ready to move on. People don't stay here very long once they realize life on Earth was a joke and there is so much more ahead.

      In regards to your question,  Usually there is a crowd, but for now it’s just us. To truly live is to live forever and you only need to wish it as you gentlemen did. Like here, wish for anything you want. You can never go back and change anything, but do what you like here.”

       “Can I have a bag of runes then?” asked the Heathen.

        A bag appeared in his hand. “Elder Futhark I presume.” said Mary with a wink.

The Christian was wondering about his wife and how she was dealing with his death and then remembered about his mom and dad. “Mary…can we see our relations that have passed on?”

“Yes, eventually, if they are still here or the level above.”

“How about our pets, I swear my dogs were better humans than many of the touchholes I met,” added the Heathen.

“In some form they may be. You will find them if they are here. Love is all you need to bring you back together.”

“Is Jesus coming back to Earth soon?” the Christian wondered.

“Yeah, is it the end of the world?”

“Even up here we don’t quite know what will happen. Everything in the past can be viewed but the future is not for anyone to know. Shamans on earth have been summoning the Mother and she will awaken soon. We know she will not be happy and there will be earthquakes, solar flares and volcanic activity that people have not seen in a long time. There will be chaos but the humans will survive.

      “Jesus will be working behind the scenes and a chosen few will see him. Now shoosh” she said looking at a nearby sun dial, “It’s time for an earthly visit."
        Being dead didn’t seem to matter anymore and the stress of life had completely evaporated but they were somehow tired. “I need a rest compadre.”

“I’m telling ya,” agreed the Christian plopping down on a mossy bench.

“This could be where we part company. I have a lot of history I would like to see and our souls need to…. Recharge or something. I don‘t know, what is next?”

          “I don’t know either. Do what you like, I’ll wander off when I’m ready. I wonder if they have facebark here. How are we going to keep in touch?”
          "Let's find a way, friend"

“I’m going to invoke a goddess, I wonder who we haven’t seen yet?" He began,   'Venus Diana Hecate,” repeating this ceremonially like he used to do when he was living, “aid me in my magical quest.” Then, they both heard a voice.

        “You need to journey back to yourselves.” The Heathen was gratified to see that a lot of what he believed in was sorta true with his encounters with Thor and Freya but now...appearing in front of him was a truly impressive goddess. Sunlight moved around her and the winds were visibly swirling everywhere they looked. She reminded them of Glinda the Good Witch, and the Heathen asked, “Who are you then?”

“I am Dexsiua of the warm life-giving southern wind. I travel everywhere and am part of everything. She waved a wand and people started gathering around.

         “We are definitely not in Kansas anymore,” said the Christian and they both laughed.
        She addressed the growing crowd, “We will break into groups of 13. I will sift through your minds and answer as many questions as I can. Just relax,” she intoned, “…as we fly.”

This was the big history ride and they saw dinosaurs and beatniks and Socrates and the actual ministry of Jesus, the half human.  There was Druids and the signing of the Magna Charta and even the secret of the pyramid builders was finally revealed.

 It was many days and they rested and experienced these great moments. They saw snapshots of their own lives and other peoples days on earth, learning very much in a short time.

            When they were done flocks of birds would occasionally fly by. “They fly beyond the solar system and the Milky Way. The Universe waits for you and your source also waits. Join them now and find Nu-Kua. Go the way of the birds.

MARKET SOCIALISM

  I am responsible for what I have written, not for what you 

think I wrote, or meant.  Simply stated, the opinions expressed herein, may at times resemble facts, therefore… always double and triple check before you let incorrect facts loose on the internet with millions of undisciplined minds on the loose.

         I believe it is a consensus that we seek, not confrontation, and I look for reforms that most can agree with.   

       The ultimate sad reality on earth is that there are billions of people living in misery on what was once a bountiful, clean planet.  It’s as simple as that.  Once it was ours and it will be ours forevermore if the working people wake up. Capitalism And Communism are two Euro-centric systems that have failed and we need a new set of governing principles and a new economic order called market socialism.

        Let me guide you around some of the seemingly intractable dilemmas of our modern era and offer solutions, and please be willing to contemplate new perspectives, because the 
voter/citizen/worker needs to lead now, and follow no longer.

1/1/1  MARKET SOCIALISM 

   “ ....anarchy is the absence of coercion ....”

     The road to anarchy will not be a chaotic anarchy as you’ve been led to believe, but anarchy as self-rule and managing ourselves in our various communities while keeping common local markets open for small business and household industry.  

Now that the rich have saved up trillions of dollars in hidden off shore accounts, we can use this stolen labor (profit)to create the Infrastructure Initiative  (II26) Envision something great for every one of us to use in the next 50 years in an expanded and expansive safety net, a beautiful and enduring hardscape and finally wildlife corridors for migrating wildlife.  We can create abundance AND create a new economic system.

One way to start would be to sell half of our military bases,  the ones furthest away from American ports, and be there for our fellow citizens and any one we can. Friend or foe, we’re ready to help.  But closer to home, right?

The Republicans want to eliminate things we all own in common such as the National Parks, and so we need to put the languid and miasmic political will of the Democrats in the last 35 years aside, and have a go at a New America.  It’s time to roll ‘em up and get down to work to preserve our wild lands forever, not to mention our freedom of movement as citizens.

We’ll be initiating the construction of a real infrastructure with immense areas set aside for barter and small business. Community spaces where the majority of us can set up our small business, or non-profit enterprise. Free spaces for all to use.  

Not along the highway,  but in the rural areas that were abandoned when the interstates went in.  Giant parks for people to stay for free as they vacation and to also accommodate those that are camping out in their cars during the collapse of manic destructive capitalism.

This is not an outrageous notion once people realize we could have all this by simply taxing the Walmart owners and Amazon, and the accumulated wealth of others. Start penalizing the gangrenous greed of corporate America and its stockholder enablers. 
Put a cap of 700 billion on the military and have them explain how much their promised pensions and benefits will cost in the future like the GOP did with the Post Office. 

Reduce this crazy global military and defend our homeland as the Constitution demands.

In the much delayed, total infrastructure rebuilding program, there will be lots of work for engineers and designers, and good paying jobs for boots on the ground.  A real infrastructure for ALL OF US to have access to, AND a unifying coast to coast effort to show everyone in the world how it’s done.  

Deconstruct this 700 BILLION dollar military that has brought peace to no one and power overwhelming for the Nazis running the United States. Its like 900 billion in 2025. Blame men with tiny missiles.

There is plenty of money once people wake up to the illusion of prosperity that is capitalism. Why isn’t there emergency housing for natural disasters and tornado shelters in every vulnerable town? Where are the evacuation facilities for seniors and people with special needs during weather disasters? What about the many terrified people trying to survive an approaching hurricane?

These are all people that have built the America we have today. Tragic that it ends with suffering and indignity.

We should create a country that cares for every one with a real infrastructure, with humungous rest areas in my proposed 'rural hubs' for vacationers and people living out of their vehicles.

 Call it the INFRASTRUCTURE COMMONS, with lots of public land for recreation and small business commerce.  You do this by taxing large land owners, they give up and sell. The Anti-trump would pull corporate charters and declare EMMINENT DOMAIN FOR WILDLIFE.             

Taxing and demonetizing the corporate structure of Google Amazon Facebook and some others will allow the people to gain control of all this people generated content. The Commons known as the Information Superhighway. It should belong to the people. The internet should be free and we'll tax the rich till it becomes that. Commercial free too. You want to FA with NPR that is easy to listen to without commercials, well I hope they find out they're wrong.
       Clearly, large corporations were the only ones considered during the planning of our interstates, and we can fix that with rural hubs.

 Oil and Gas subsidies have to end so the alternatives can come online. Biodiesel is great for recycling restaurant oil and creating less toxic fumes and could compete with petroleum. 

I’m not going to complain without offering solutions of course. Taxing Gasoline at their source of production (the refineries) and taxing plastic at the site of their production will become a good income stream. Tariffs on plastic, not Canada.

We can complete the grid that will allow Americans to be free of government.  

     We can power and feed and rule without the monopolistic corporations and the coral colony of government and everybody knows this. From the soy boys to theproud boys.

  George Washington said the government "should be like fire. A useful employee, but a terrible boss."

               The people can use the government to create the structure that will make us less dependent on the government. 

 We don’t need more tolls and fees, what we need are pipeline taxes.  Duh, tax the rich, they wonder why we’re not!

I had been pushing the idea of a LUXURY TAX and I was happy to note a presidential candidate also suggesting this idea finally.  Unimaginable wealth has been accumulated, and like a rich harvest of fruit, we need to juice it and use it before it becomes a pile of rotting compost.

In contrast to most, I don’t think we should tax this years high income earners. These are the people who are doing the best in this current climate.  They’re doing something right. Tax total assets, once people accumulate more than 20 million dollars, the National Property tax begins. No one is earning that shit. 
        What do you think Mr. Libertarian, wouldn't it streamline government if we taxed ten people instead of a thousand?

Everyone with more than 20 million dollars of equity, cash, stocks and precious metals would have to report to the government. Leave the poor people alone!
       Tax 1% of all assets the first year.  A One percent tax on total assets over 20 million dollars is a modest proposal. Side by side with eliminating corporate tax loopholes. Reduce the tax code that allow corporations to pay very little taxes.

 We also tax businesses with more than 20 million in assets.  At the same time we can have our Progressive Senators and a re-animated Congress looking to eliminate corporate loopholes.  

This LUXURY TAX will go up one percentage point, per year, TILL THE NATIONAL DEBT IS PAID, AND OUR BUDGET IS BALANCED! Therefore, 2%  the second year. 3% the third and on and on.  Turning the pressure up slowly, it’s in everyone’s best interest to eliminate the national debt.

 Much of the national debt goes to banks and their usurious interest anyways, but then we can tax THEM and we keep the money flowing through the economy.
        No wealth will escape taxation. Instead of the poor reporting every asset and every detail of their life to qualify for indigent aid, and instead of every small business having to keep every receipt and burdened with regulations and a nightmarish tax system, we can create a middle class, small business system. 

Leave the poors alone. Bother the corporate nanny state that coddles the rich and tortures the poor.

Knock down all those toll booths and petty license fees, you’re holding up the working person.  28^th amendment. Tax accumulated wealth till the national debt is paid.  I shouldn’t have to use capslocks to make my point.   

The lawyer/lobbyists  have hijacked the United States and they like to find every kind of way to make your life more expensive and inconvenient.  They will do whatever possible to keep you from accumulating any assets, while they amass their dragon hoards. There has been unimaginable damage to OUR countryside by thousands of pipelines that destroy nature, but enhance stock portfolios.  

      This will be just a start in our national recognition of who we really are. Americans are not heartless opportunists. Not the working people I've met!

Is it about energy and national security, or is it actually about profits and market control with  a government run by corporations?  Our global effort to keep the earth from getting poisoned, will be about curtailing the abuse that automobile, airplane and truck exhaust has done to the life that was on this planet.

Artificially low prices from resource thieves have undercut all competitors and destroyed the fine network of small businesses that were in existence up until WW2. Money didn’t grow on trees they joked after the war ....   money was trees.  American forests stripped for Suburban homes. 
          Far too many of them. Drastic degradations of all the mini ecosystems that are part of bigger systems such as watersheds and forests. 

For instance, buying a beautiful forest to clearcut it has to be considered theft, but today is still considered "good business".  I mean come on, this has been going on for hundreds of years and nearly all the ancient trees are gone! 

Capitalism has created an illusion of prosperity. Houses filled with priceless junk and “what am I going to do with all this stuff?”

People hunger for battle with the oligarchs and the first thing we need to do is take out all the tax loopholes that are in place for the Oil and Gas Industry.  Then get ready to ride the scariest ride on earth, “The Vicissitudes of The Market.”

 It’s not even about global warming I keep insisting, but the pollution of everything. Have international no fly days so we can see the old blue sky return.

  Replace the whole withholding tax nonsense and its attendant bureaucracy with a federal Property Tax for all billionaires and billion dollar corporations. Create a global effort in all 200+ countries, to expose ALL THE  hidden income everywhere, so the wealthy have nowhere to hide.

 Let the mighty be taxed mightily as it's suggested in the bible.

 Go ahead, tell me why that’s ridiculous or impractical Mr. Libertarian. Taxing ten people instead of 1000 would certainly streamline government, wouldn’t it?

This is where your basic income starts. What can be afforded, and the blessings of Liberty going to the destitute and homeless first.

The previously discussed Anarchy cannot last with the predatory fascists looming nearby and would never be permanent. 

Therefore, Market Socialism is the best economic system that can exist for the majority of the people for the majority of the time, because complete anarchy would leave a vacuum for fascism to fill.       Market Socialism is a designation most people can be comfortable with as it alludes to the elimination of record-keeping for the small business markets. A market where the sole proprietor is Queen, because corporations are not people. Only individuals can be people.

 The new rules? Thwart the monopolies by taxing the rich till the national debt is paid.  That sounds like a good idea. Imagine 50 AOC’s (citizen legislators) walking in singing a verse of Joe Hill as they sign the tax the rich legislation.  They’d think it was a movement.

 A squad to be reckoned with in Congress should be arriving in 2026 that should be implementing a higher minimum wage for larger companies.  Give the family run, Mabels Diners of the world a chance again, and make these billion dollar corporations like Olive Garden feel the sting of   small business dignity and community connectedness.  Commonality and communitarianism. 
The service industry treats its hardest workers the worst and many workers barely attain minimum wage after tips are shared. People in the food service industry know what I’m talking about. It should be a crime.

         Looking to get weighed, the people step on the scales of justice.  There was exceptional service in America once upon a time, but the new modern corporation thinks it’s a person. 

       In reality, it’s a puppet show with pompous old men cutting every corner possible with tech billionaires poised to supplant them and run the world.  Heartless capitalists with unresolved childhood issues.

        Sam Walton created the work atmosphere where employees talking to each other is considered a waste of time, and after three warnings for unauthorized talking, the pink slip.

       You know, we need to bond with the people we work with, people need to talk. Arms and elbows always in motion for low wages and heartless management strictures have left worķers sad and exhausted. For most of the people I’ve worked with, Capitalism sucks and there’s no reforming capitalism. Chain stores and restaurants, have left millions of workers despairing as to what has happened to service in America.   

             

        The Workers Revolution means to fight for a living wage for all of the worlds workers, and in the end, this world wide workers movement will inspire all future generations to persistently  maintain an equitable worksite, so the toxic tide of corporatism can’t creep back into our world again.

        This time we win. Profit is theft from the workers who produced the product and every worker in the world needs to understand this. The age of Piratical Profiteering is over if we want it to be. We hunger for battle. The workers are ready.

Self government is where Socialists AND Capitalists both fear to tread.  How do you do it with the super structure of excessive government that is already in place, and a placated public happy with the status quo of corporatism and are not aware of the child, slave-labor derived products such as chocolate? A billion working poor people around the world, making products for the entitled Lord Fauntleroy’s of America.   

Bioregionalism is one of the tools to break free of all the previous inhumane paradigms. Another concern of mine is the red and black, the communists trying to usurp another movement it seems. 
        Why are we still dragging (Marx)around? We got remineralization of the soil to be concerned about and carbon and sulfur rates accelerating and we have to drag around someone who did not write a single word about the environment?

Russell Means, for one, has some thorough earth loving things to say, regarding our world, and he is much more relevant to the modern worker. Particularly in regards to marx he points out, which is just more white privilege in his mind, and I agree.  Just more of that old white bullshit.

Didn't Karl Marx's mommy make his lunch and bring him antibiotics for his carbuncles? He could barely walk to the bakery by himself he was so feeble minded. (something someone told me privately, not sure if it's historically accurate)       But it’s well known his children loved him, which is good enough for some people. But seriously, how about labor theory from a more recent activist?
     In the early 1900’s, Eugene Debs was a great socialist and ran for President from jail and got quite a few votes and was instrumental in convincing people they were worthy of decent living conditions and a safe, fair paying job.

 Recall "fightin’” Bob LaFollette,  Progressive governor of Wisconsin, who actually implemented Progressive ideals into action and reform starting in 1900.  He reportedly had no carbuncles.

One important person to accomplish advances for workers was Cesar Chavez. Strikes for better wages at that time made the general public aware of the problem of underpaid workers.  

               Are there are no other theorists for the workers revolution? Maybe someone who goes outside once in a while and recognizes an impending climate disaster? It turns out people don’t care and workers seem too servile today to demand better pay. Maybe the spirit has been beaten out of us. 

Why couldn’t American furniture makers compete during the 70’s? You don’t compete with 25 cent an hour workers in Asia, that’s why.   Primarily it was American companies that moved to Asia.      Therefore, an important part of Market Socialism would be to boycott companies that don’t pay, not just a living wage, but a thriving wage, in any part of the world.  This is where boycotts can slay the giant.

We can't raise the minimum wage high enough here, till workers around the world make more.  Simple fact, prove me wrong. Just an aside here, but did you ever notice the most frantic recyclers are the ones who seem to be addicted to buying things online?

 American, European and Asian companies have enslaved a billion people who now live in poverty, abject or otherwise, making nifty products and priceless junk for people with white collar jobs and stuffed recycle barrels.

         Sadly, it was American corporations that threw American workers under the bus by moving factories overseas. My dad worked at the Royal typewriter factory for 20 years and was a victim in 1972 of unemployment when the company moved to England for the low paid, desperate workers. 

 In the 80’s, the company moved to Asia for the extremely low wages there.

          It has been a pity that The Left is stuck on the chalkboard Utopia of communism, and some even hinged to its rapacious Stalinist sideboard.

        It's the Green and Black baby.                   Americans are never going to call themselves communists ... and I don’t care how many quotes of marx or “books I should read” you throw at me.         

       The Blue Green and Pink collar will become Americas largest demographic after the ' voter citizen worker '. 
       Pink, Green and Blue collar united as one. Unity without hierarchy for the workers. Let the white collar parasites push the wheelbarrows for the Infrastructure Commons and let unionized blue collar fix and build up America again. The solutions to most problems lay in the garages of America, not the boardrooms in the cities.

Companies abandoned America in the 70's in order to take advantage of the reckless breeding in India and China and Bangladesh that created far too many people with its misnamed “green revolution”. 

In their desperate struggle to feed their children, these people are willing to work for 15 cents an hour, 15 hours a day.  How do you compete with that? You should be banning plastic products made with pennies per hour labor, not purchasing them.       Place a tariff on all plastic products and boycott companies who are not fair to their workers.

At least try to source your purchases, because boycotts will be swinging from the cleanup spot in the big game. The mouths of these lawyer/lobbyist/leeches move when they run for office, but nothing changes, so it’s up to Progressives, Greens and Independents to stomp on the accelerator of reform.  The DNC donkey is dead and rigor mortis is settling into the entire body politic.

As with Islam, it should seem obvious that extreme forms of Marxism will never work in this country. We have to make everything uniquely our own and that’s what people have forgotten.  

 America IS different but no longer exceptional, with the right wing coup eating us alive like a tapeworm. They purposely bog down Progressives with fruitless battles, that should never have been fought in the first place.

Mass corporate hegemony of the Republican/Democrat, Wall Street Power Structure continues to feast on the pavement pelts of small business Main Street.

 Ironically, a minimum wage for all will be the final nail in the coffin of small businesses. It has to be a progressive or escalating minimum wage. Ten for small business (under a million dollars of sales and income), 13 for medium(over a million) and 16 dollars an hour for billion dollar corporations.

I signed a petition for $15 an hour minimum yesterday and found out it is going to go up a dollar a year and that’s something to work with to create a small business revival. I would suggest capping a small business minimum wage at ten dollars an hour with small business being one that generates less than a 100,000 dollars in sales or income. Leave small business alone. Let people make 10 thousand dollars before taxation and let small business make 25,000 before taxation.

             American Progressives, Greens and Independents are poised to lead the world out of its miasma of greed, but this never ending, left/right tennis match (back and forth back and forth), has kept Americans distracted the last 35 years. Marx or Mussolini?  What will it be? The Left has to abandon Marx to gain any credibility with the American worker, that’s all I’m saying. On the right, the GOP is what Mussolini had in mind.

The billionaires have shown their hand, they’ve chosen Benito’s  corporate-run government and they don’t care if we all die and everyone knows it now. 

 They have been stripping the earth without any regard to the 100 billion people that will be born on this planet during the next 2000 years.

The workers revolution will be inevitable once the Steam Age academics of Marxism have been replaced and Republicans have been deloused and deprogrammed from the brainwashing of Rush Limbaugh and Fox News.
           How do you like that? We need unionism, not Marxism. Marx is insightful, but not useful. Does he really have to be the face of socialism? A man who didn't work or bathe?                  People are not inclined to malign Marx online and I don’t know why not, I know I will get heat for my stance.
         I do know an American will never call themselves a communist. Sorry Tom and other Marxists who have unfriended me on facebook, I’ve worked with a lot of people in three corners of this country and Americans will never call themselves communists. Never.

Down here in the underpaid working world we have adjusted in many ways to the vagaries of the market. Capitalism for the poor and socialism for the rich is the system we have.

Bankruptcy and foreclosure ?, aw too bad say the bankers who are gouging the American worker with interest. Should be a crime, used to be. Tens of trillions of dollars charged in interest by bankers to the detriment of American workers. 

For instance, in a world awash in excessive clothing manufactured by 25 cent an hour workers, we go to thrift stores now to buy much of our clothing in 2020/21. I buy three dollars shirts and pants on the regular and they are normally only nominally worn.  I got storm shoes and a nice pair of shorts for less than $5.  We go to Dollar Stores and church rummage sales and reliable second hand exchanges. We love bargains, but let the buyer beware with the guy that has the frozen shrimp in his trunk though, we all have our particular discernments.

The whole scene is changing from below.  There are more distribution sites from groups that are taking in food.   If you can turn over a ton of food with volunteer labor in thousands of sites, we can begin to lessen the reliance on government programs and eliminate as much waste as is practically possible. 

        The problem with the bush and t***p tax cuts for billionaires, was that the wealthy were theoretically supposed to step up with more charitable donations, and of course a handful have, but the dark heart of capitalism always says, “no thanks not today, the guest house needs new furniture.”

 

My point being is that we are drifting back towards buying locally sourced products again, Market Socialism, if we possibly can. We are buying hand made quilts for xmas presents. We buy reconditioned bicycles The over credentialed, over certified white collar world isn’t going to rule us with their stuffed and mounted academic validations forever. We can and are creating a Market Socialism structure.

  I would have each person exempt from taxation for the first 10,000 dollars of income, and $25,000 for small business.  In addition, we would lift the cap on social security from $106,000 to $ gazillion. Let everybody make a little money … for crying out loud, and give them food stamps if they need them and every person who has no permanent address but a social security number, a basic income. Make the Republicans fill the social security fund back up. Let the billionaires give back what they stole from the languid, complacent, servile, no longer unionized American. See how that works?

 I’ve worked in three corners of this country. With thousands of plumbers and gardeners and property managers and security guards and administrators and store managers and even homeless people I find sleeping in the bushes. Not a one of them talked about Marx. The working people don’t talk about Marxism, they talk about what is going on in their life.

The maids, the sandwich makers, the floor polishers, the CNA’s, your finishers your starters, the kitchen crew and clerical staff. We talk to everyone.

 Gardeners get around, we are usually the last to go onto a project and people unload their problems. The ferry captains, the car washers turned computer techs, the vegetable growers and organic chicken egg producers. I can’t ever remember us talking about marx, but we did talk a lot about unions. I saw a union go in, in 1975, 

 Ɓut we decried the disappearing unions through the 80’s.
