ROCKABILLY CLUB PEACE
I make mistakes.
that's why I'm not a professional
Got a New Idea to work with though.
Ten percent of musicians make enough money to live on, right?
What about the other 90%? I think they'd love an outlet for playing and I have the best forum for being inclusive of as many instruments as possible.
First, All percussion is welcome on all songs.
Just stick to the beat and any particular dynamics that are BEING UTILIZED FOR THAT PARTICULAR SONG. The Beat is the Remedy. No squares daddio, no comfort zone here, we're looking for good but not popular songs that need an update. No insipid clingy beats. Here is the current playlist.

BEATRX ICONoCLASTICS iconOclastics BEATRX - YouTube My drumming beats I use near the songs in the same order as above
This is a prototype musical configuration that can be used anywhere in the world to bring communities back together through music. Music is what many feel is the best healer.
Basically, I'm trying to stick with American music to preserving the good songs and forgotten album cuts, or songs never heard. And you do you. If you need comfort zone, overheard songs, then start your own combo. We want to rock and put a good beat to good songs.
One important thing about the Beatrx musical system is that there is one person in the group that knows all the songs completely. Or has the proper prompts nearby and not forgetting to give old, tired songs a beat treatment with, knowing it completely with a beginning and ending.
Our folk tales for future generations.

It happens to be true I only wanna be with you
[Bridge]
You stopped and smiled at me And asked me if I cared to dance
I fell into your open arms And I didn't stand a chance
[Verse 5] Now, listen honey I just want to be beside you everywhere
As long as we're together, honey, I don't care
Cause you started something, can't you see? Ever since we met, you've had a hold on me
No matter what you do I only wanna be with you
No matter, no matter what you do
There's the first 8 songs. Call it a set.
EVERYONE INSISTS I HAVE TO PLAY WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR.
No thank you. Not a trained monkey and I'm going to do what I can while I still can.
So here is the crux of the Bisquit. It’s said that 10% of musicians make a living at it. The big question is this: what are the other 90% doing? I'm thinking, many of them would like to have a community combo that they can participate in, when they want to.
This is what this is. Tightly managed to avoid the inevitable disagreements, but freedom to come and go as you want, so no one feels pressured or obligated. The BEATRX MUSICAL SYSTEM allows for maximum musical expression amongst a community, and freedom for musicians.
All percussion is welcome but please, remember the beat is the remedy. This is not a comfort zone for Boomers. Neither is it a safe space where the maudlin sentimentality of Pop music is glorified. I'm trying to revive songs that had a lame ass beat back in the day or re-invent some really good songs that are sounding outdated. Studiously avoiding the same old same old we've heard on the radio for decades.
I found with the arthuritis I can't play the 13th+5 chords anymore, so I find songs with some potential for heavy power chords. Fifth's they're called. I try to blend bluegrass, rockabilly and Metal.
You got a Ukelele club, then surely a Rockabilly Club can be created. You got a song to suggest? First ask yourself ‘have I already heard this 10,000 times on the radio?’ Then, “can I teach others to play it?" No one wants homework and our underlying theme is NO CLICHES.
Not practicing for a performance but simply making music. We can have a general assembly to vote in songs to add. Songs in the on deck circle are listed later. We can all vote to add songs but I have to be able to play it so it can't be too complicated. You'll find the songs I chose are relatively easy to learn but not repetitive 1 4 5 songs about drinking and stupid shit.
In the BEATRX musical system one person knows all the songs. Songs have a beginning and an end. Instrumental solo verses are real easy to add with the songs I have found for anyone that shows up to jam. Bring something to the table.
My particular concept aside from song selection is the songs stay in the order I have listed for a concept that needs to be tested. Instead of randomly jumping around to different keys, as per the usual, the songs progress in an ascending order of keys. The first song is in Em and the next is in E, then songs in the keys of F then G are next. Then the next song is in A.
For me the fun is in learning the song. Finding a way to modernize the beat. Let's take this raw song. "Hooked on a Feeling" Boomers heard it a thousand times on the radio. I already got a list of fifty songs, then I hear 'hooked on a feeling' has a Quintessential, floating and sinking, chromatic progression so I got the chords just below. That and Born to be Bushy.
So I came across a tutorial on diminished and augmented cords and she began by showing the grand progression. C C/B C/Bb F/A Fm/Ab c/G D/F#. So I look up the song and Ultimate guitar has an easy transposing method. So it was in G and I converted it to "C"
