Pagan Progressive Patriot

 

   Most of us are spiritual  sojourners, and we never pull into any one religious port for very long. Like the Druids or Unitarian Universalists or the Buddhists, it is about the path we are on, not any conclusive set of truths.

   

    I was researching the roots of witch craft, trying to trace back how traditions could have started. I was going to find my own truth and went back to the days of the Cave Painters, 10 to 30 thousand years ago.  Coincidentally around the world, 25,000 years ago, Venus figurines appear. Cave art is all that remains after bones and bark and homes and fire altars have weathered everything else back into the earth.

            The Cave painters were also known as the reindeer hunters. In Solutre France there is an archaeological site that has uncovered millions of bones of reindeer and mammoth and horses, indicating it was once an ancient meeting place.  20,000 years ago the reindeer migrated northwards as calmer and warmer weather prevailed, and the Reindeer People migratedwith them. In time they crossed paths with the wanderers from the Caucasus Mountains who settled much of Europe.

            Then we get to the period between 10 and 20 thousand years ago, of which we hear nearly nothing. Archaeological discoveries need to fit into this little box scientists call conventional wisdom. According to Marija Gimbutas, the pre-goddess societies made pottery and built small houses. Presumably they built the first small towns. Agriculture didn't arrive suddenly, 9,000 years ago in the so called 'cradle of civilization', as we are led to believe, but small fields and experimentation by hunter gathers added to the already bountiful earth for thousands of years previous.  

            As noted archaeologist Gimbutas writes, "this was a long lasting period of remarkable creativity and stability, an age free from strife. Their culture was a culture of art. Cultures filled with Goddesses.

   Arthur Versluis from his book, The Philosophy of Magic, “Our pagan religion is not the evil you portray it to be in the past thousand years plus. At the heart of ritual lies the feminine component, the kindness and intuitive empathy. The seed, the ultimate compassion is the emerald stone of magic, the source of strength is the heart of magic.” (3) This is what the bloody warrior elite has lost, compassion.    It is gone from their traditions and their institutions and pagans are poised to put passion and compassion back into the culture as the replacement for violence and war. Difficult as it may be in many so called free countries to be an out of the closet Witch or Druid, people will try.

The Propaganda lately from fundamentalists and Dominionists, is that Goddess worship is Satanism. According to Pastor Buddy and others, Satan is a rebel and witches are rebellious, so witches are actually following Satan, GET IT?

               Do you fully comprehend that this nonsense about witches is being spoken by TV evangelists, and people believe it? In 2014! Not a very sophisticated spin, but the result will be the same; continued discrimination and marginalization of women, and also ostracization for those who believe in Goddesses.

  

      

             The American Revolution started with the 'despicable rabble' of Boston Towne; the rock throwing, stamp collector confronting, effigy hangin, bar room debating, restive roughnecks. Not to mention the many young apprentices and stout hearted,  independent thinkers WHO STOOD UP AGAINST TYRANNY and were the ones who finally outsmarted the Christians politically.

Critics of our founding fathers today say they were an elite ruling class. I tell them that the evolution of personal liberty ‘had to begin somewhere and it had to begin somehow’.  How could justice and equality suddenly arrive fully blossomed out of nowhere?   It would be like complaining that Alexander Graham Bell should have invented a message machine too.  There was further work to be done.

            The Patriots of the actual Greatest Generation of 1776 laid down a framework, whose basic structures survives intact, which is something no other large group of people have  achieved .

         Alcohol Prohibition is an example of how hysterical fringe minorities can get their way. It created a constitutional amendment that made alcohol illegal, and 15 years later it was revoked, an aberrant misuse of the constitution, giving birth to new forms of crime.

            Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, and Sam Adams, along with many other progressive and independent Enlightenment thinkers, were the primary progenitors of American independence.  On the night of Paul Reveres ride, he emerged from a Masonic hall to get on his horse to warn his neighbors, or was it a Masonic meeting in a tavern? Or a meeting of Unitarians. In Paris, Benjamin Franklin talked to Thomas Paine convincing him to come back to the colonies in 1774, while gathered in a Masonic Hal in France.

            And yes, I see quotes about how George Washington called upon God in some of his famous statements implying the Christian God. I’m here to tell you my friend that George tapped in the Capitol Cornerstone with his Mason apron on, okay?  He was paying lip service to the pesky clergy of his day with gratuitous quotes about god but mostly discussed "Providence". His beliefs had more in common with the local Natives than some city clergy, some piffy preacher Christian.

      Masons basically believe in a God, a great architect of the Universe. Primarily, they believe in the duality of male and female in their higher degrees along with a lot of Egyptian mysticism. Isis and Minerva and Liberty; and muses such as Clio were among their gods and goddesses.

Remember it was only 50 years previous to our revolution that it became illegal to kill witches.  Till then the Puritans got away with murder. The Colonists went a long way sociologically in a short amount of time, because of Enlightenment Thinking. It appeared the Dawn of Civilization was near at hand with the Colonists in 1776.

 Demeter is the goddess of the harvest and her story is at the heart of the Eluesian mysteries, and is the source of the Oracle at Delphi. She is also on the roof of the Capitol building giving advice to Ben Franklin in a painting. As Masons, our founding fathers had secret ceremonies invoking the oracle at Delphi which was a place where the spiritually nimble debated, and its well was considered the navel of the world. The umbilical cord of liberty with its intertwining with the Tree of Life...

            The Founding Revolutionaries of the United States created Washington D.C. much like a giant mason lodge, and the Capitol building like a Goddess temple. The masons were the people most known for their stone work; they were the architects of Chartres Cathedral, and most other ancient structures made of stone.

The Ancient Free Men Masons became the freemasons, and ritual was added as time went by, and then was tweaked by the idle rich with nothing better to do. That’s my Cliff Notes version of the Masons. They are a social group, but there is a constant faith based insinuation  in all media that Masons are evil.

 

             

      

       It is not your imagination that dogmatic authoritarian religious despots have embedded themselves in the American government. Their websites decry the "evil" Masons but the Christians have always had to use Machiavellian machinations to usurp Liberty and the praising of Goddesses. Replacing her with Big Brothers Bible.

                This country was built with an ax, and not the Bible. The Puritans tried to create a theocracy but the independent thinking, roughhewn émigrés from Europe cocked a critical eye towards this violence. The hardy women and the men with sharp axes and big hammers settled this country, and it’s my opinion that the preachers followed these pioneer families and usurped the good labor of these hard working people. Also remember this: by 1700 all mandatory church attendance was dropped in the colonies and by the Revolutionary War, these rugged men and women, Type A rejects from around the world, thrived in the growing light of liberty, and by 1776 only 1 in 7 had an affiliation with a religious group. This is the truth about America.                         

   American concepts of liberty and individual freedom and authority being granted by voters, is completely incompatible with Christian religions and it‘s precise doctrine to live by.  I would hope you can see the deception that religious people use to usurp the authority of this country. It’s invisible leader speaking out of a book told to a goat herder.  America is not a Christian nation. I can only face palm Islamist extremism and how it would never work in this country and it‘s hopeless to even try. Right wing kooks try to scare people with the looming threat if Sharia Law is laughable.

    The Protestant Manifest Destiny and the Catholic-Islamic Holy Rampage of Conquest were keen on reducing forests where all the fairies, elves and pagans lived; where the Druids and Templars hid out and where the witches lived. The ancient forests of America scared the Christians because of the magic of forests and everyone they wanted to kill lived there.
    Is this why they were so intent on leveling the forests? They cheered every improvement in logging, and every new forest reducer that came along. The heritage of the North American continent; it’s incredible forests, were sliced and sold like cheap luncheon meat as a result of this faith based deforestation. It’s said that a squirrel could go from Virginal to Ohio hopping through an unbroken canopy of trees.  What was so very unnatural is that in this obvious presence of Mother Nature and the Great Spirit in North America, this foreign religion from a violent part of the world that had been warring for 5 thousand years became the dominant religion through strength of arms.      .   

                                                                                                                   

Wanna bet that most logging companies, railroads and cattle ranches were owned by Protestants? Wanna bet it was a Christian that owned factories where child workers worked 60 hours a week in dangerous conditions as the industrial revolution began in the early 1800’s?  Wanna bet the owner of the windowless factory was at church, demonstrably dropping a gold coin in the collection basket.

          

  Pagans, we are the sons and daughters of freedom, the protectors and friends of our American constitution. Think about this seriously, how can this be a christian country when the strict tenets of their religion would not allow freedom of speech and association and assembly and I’m sure they would be taking your guns if they ever have a successful coup. The ironic ending to the stockpiling of ammunititon the last 50 years to "take our country back".

We will be called upon during environmentalisms last stand to at least make our opinions known about predatory capitalism as it invades the cold and frozen north, the last profitable virgin frontier. The rapidly heating northern climates do not need an all-out assault on resources. Drill baby drill sounds like the wrong approach to sustainable capitalism, and it is so important that the Russians suck out natural gas from the artic or Chinese companies drill for diamonds in the Siberian Taiga and remain unhindered in their quest for profits? Shall we just sell Japan the ancient forests in Alaska? We need the money, right? They need the wood.

 My point is that there will be plenty of time in the future to talk to dryads and to call the shaman community because there will be not be just one group that wants to start the new world order. Many will be competing for the power. Technological Theocracies, Mussolini style corporate fascism, international bankers, the super rich    and others will be competing to manage this new world order. This is where the patriot comes in; a patriot wants to protect our freedoms.

There will be a vacuum when good people do nothing and manipulative, rapacious greed will continue to rule the day id left untended. Remember the second principle of witchcraft. “We recognize that our intelligence gives us a unique responsibility to our environment. We seek to live in harmony with nature, in ecological balance offering fulfillment within an evolutionary concept.” The profit mongers will not stop. They would sell every fish in the ocean, given the chance, and destroy every ecosystem if they are not controlled. My point is that pagans and greens and progressives can work together and as a rule they are open minded and friendly but atheist greens need not be contemptuous if I mention the 9 goddesses of the Druddité religion. City slicker progressives need to get a better grip understanding the rural culture and the beauty that many find in our forests.

            Pagans are poised to put passion and compassion back into the culture as the replacement for violence and war during the final blossoming of equality our constitution assures us of.  Till every Druid or Witch can practice without fear of condemnation or harassment, till every Sikh or Janist or Swamp Arab or Taosit or Hopi or Mayan does not fear harassment, we have not achieved Constitutional Equality. Remember to not offend those who have no dieties or invisible friends, who only want to live their life logically.

  Question       What was Mother Mary like? As a person? Was she a leader or was she humble? Please tell me anything you can about her.

 A          First off, the "virgin" Marys' mother Anne was like 60 years old or something and childless, when she became pregnant with Mary. 

       So one day Anne was gnashing her teeth over her barren womb and now she was too old to have a child ... but an angel heard her. "Go forth with vigor old woman, and thou shalt be blessed." the angel assured her, "a child will soon be yours."   The grandmother of Jesus walked away puzzled.

              Alas, she left without hope; and carried the sorrow in her heart. How badly she had wanted a child, and despite the miracle of the Angel, this bit with the angel all seemed like a cruel joke at first. But ... shortly after an eating frenzy of goat cheese and pickles, .......SHE REALIZED SHE WAS PREGNANT.   ''How can this be?'', her husband asked, and so she told him about the angel, which of course explained everything. 

Yeh, yeh I know, God works in mysterious ways

         My primary heresy is that Jesus' Mother Mary is not the human aspect of Jesus' parentage.  The spiritual melding of Mary the Goddesses spirit in Annes barren womb, along with some male chromosomes from an ancient male god who happened to live nearby, is the actual immaculate conception.  Mary, the goddess from the spiritual realm chose an earthly life, the first among the goddesses.

        As Mary got older the Angels and Muses and Goddesses from the spiritual realm, then scanned the countryside for a just suitor. Joseph the Carpenter came along to court her and then marry her. Live fast, die young a plague of locusts might be right around the corner. Joseph was like 45 when he died. He was like 28 or something and she was a normal child-bearing age for that time.

     Joseph, being a gentle man of great integrity, became a  genial role model for the forthcoming holy son. The Goddess Mary and the human Joseph, created a half -human son named Jesus. This is the first heresy, but more plausible compared to the time tested, biggest lie of all time that states that God got the virgin pregnant and they sprinkle magical unicorn dust and call it the "immaculate Conception." No human interference at all you see. Jesus is 100% god with no filler. This would be like ... the only time in history a man gave birth. Jesus was all god according to christians so ... take all the time you need.

        It is such a preposterous notion that the christian god created all life. Much more logical, is the idea that a female god would be born on earth. and birth a half god. Christians just can't twist themselves much further trying to explain their nonsense. 

             Jesus was born of the goddess Mary, and his birth was foretold in the stars, it was to be such a great event. Expert pagan astronomers, called the magi, were able to locate the child and bring offerings. The Magi discussed the various pagan religions and Mystery Schools of Egypt, where Mary and Joseph had planned to move to. Good farming out near the delta, and there were some nice liberal synagogues and a well to do population that would buy Josephs furniture. As a humorous aside, in Josephs shop there was a plaque that read, "In God we Trust...All others pay cash."
             The Magi and Jesus' parents agreed that the Old Testament god of the Old Testament is an angry gasbag trickster deity who seemed to demand an inordinate amount  of fealty and worship, oddly reminiscent of insecure old men. It's generally agreed that the Old Testament god needed some anger management classes back in the day.  Or the scholars who made it all up were lying out their ass. 

                     The blessed son must write a New Testament the Magi told them.    Mary and Joseph agreed to teach the child named Jesus about many faiths.  Jesus was to change Gods status. The Ancient Goddesses had begun to fight back. 
      “Flee to Egypt,” the magi insisted. "Take him somewhere peaceful, teach him the mysteries, and eventually, have him initiated by a teleste."  A Teleste is a teacher and initiator from the Mystery Schools. The Mystery Schools were a highly regarded form of education. 
         Forms of Buddhism had reached the homes of the Magi From India and China; and, although Egypt was marginalized politically by the time of Mary's Pregnancy, it was still a spiritual place. Mary and Joseph inherited a middle class structure, Jesus being in the same line as King David they say and some say maybe not so much. 

        Mary knew the Temple in Jerusalem was very strict and overly dogmatic and was glad to get out of town and away from their influence.
         The Magi made this three month journey from out near the Ukraine or something, some say almost from India. We three kings of Orient Are, etc. That also means theoretically, Jesus as the divine teen, may have made some extensive voyages to the Magi's homeland, as speculated by some. The real life of Jesus was hidden by compilers of the Bible, a whole different set of insecure, power seeking men. 

Heretique

          It's been theorized that Mary, Joseph and Jesus frequented a liberal Jewish Temple near Alexandria Egypt, when they lived there. Being half divinity, you can easily imagine the half man, half god Jesus, as a precocious child. By 12 years old, it was known that he was arguing circles around the dogmatic religious leaders.

The temple in Egypt they allegedly went to, had tunnels underneath it, and initiation ceremonies in the style of the Pagan Mystery Schools. You know, where they go deeper underground in tighter and smaller tunnels and eventually they are reborn at some secret underground site once they are fully disoriented by the dark. That fake death thing the Masons do. 

The River of Styx was an important part of the symbolism, an underground stream to symbolically carry them into a more spiritual life and a heavenly death. Some of these temples actually did have streams in them.   
        Presumably, as the family traveled back to Palestine as Jesus got older, the Blessed Son created controversy wherever he went. He questioned the hypocritical  leaders and Mary was always there to temper Jesus' enthusiastic youthful extremes, "go feed the donkey before you get us in trouble!" she would say as she shushed him away from time to time. 

         The goal of the Goddesses was to have Jesus start a holy organization of adepts and healers, like the Essenes he grew up with, to get the world away from violence, and move towards social justice for all.  

An Empire of Compassion, not Conquest.

Not well known is that slaves and women held prominent roles in early Christianity, but the Paulines thwarted that egalitarian attitude less than a century after Jesus' death. Hey let me know, Mr. bible scholar, if you think I got some of this history wrong.

In baseball he'd be known as a clutch player.

           His mission was to unify mankind without the hierarchy of patriarchal, religious groups which was becomiong the hhistorical trend, while at the same time, not to personally fall victim to the brutality of the bloodthirsty Pagan Roman soldiers.     

           Pagan slaughter began with the Levites, 2800 years previous to Jesus' era; and they ambitiously tore down pagan temples, stole pagan gold, and even burned, not only innocent pagan children, but their own daughters as well, as per the bible, "if they playeth the whore".  Heresy #2 is that the Old Testament 'god', was some sort of aberration in the universe. Someone who had 3-D holographic capabilities reminiscent of the Wizard of Oz.  Or maybe he was a criminal god from another part of the galaxy. In any case a reknowned psycho.  

 The Holy family eventually settled and lived in Egypt for   at least 10 years, and went back to Israel with the Essenes, while maintaining their connections in Egypt.  It wasn't that far after all. 

 Back in Palestine, the Essenes were the only Jewish sect to truly follow the commandment "thou shalt not kill." They were vegetarians and eschewed blood sacrifices. 

 No doubt, the Pharisees & Sadducees had serious conflicts with the Essenes.

As Jesus got into his 20's, he joined the Masons and Mary's home became a lodge of sorts, and friends of Jesus admired this wise, foresightful mother of his. In time, Mary Magdalene, a follower of Isis and a friends daughter from Egypt, became enamored with Jesus and his miracles.  She wrote a song called "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and sang it to Mother Mary trying to figure out the wazzup with this miracle shizz.   Magdalene was reputed to be a pagan priestess, a Teleste, and some theorize she educated Jesus on Mystery School teachings shortly before he began his ministry. Teaching him some of the deeper ancient mysteries.

           

           Mother Mary then confided to Mary Magdalene,  that she is a goddess having a life on Earth, and Jesus is a divine preacher who was going to bring equality to all people if his mission succeeded. Teach people how to become healers and peace makers.  Mary Magdalene was in on this, the greatest story never told. Heresy #3.

           "Go forth with vigor child," Mary said to the Magdalene" and remember; no woman shall ever own Jesus. I have taught him as best as I can about the world, but he needeth the affection a lover could bring, in order to experience the most sacred mystery."

              Mary Magdalene was an Isis trained Priestess and she had some dough and helped fund his ministry. 

      Magic was in the air.  Heresy #4 is the notion that there is a Mary Jesus Mary thing going on here. The actual trinity.  Mother Son and Wife.  Father Son and the Holy Ghost is such an obvious Patriarchal Deception of what a human cycle of life would look like. Goddess half god and human seem so much more logical, so the question to ask is why did his ministry fall flat? There were those times he couldn't stop being an anti government agitator. Submit to authority, he would say, but "give them the finger otherwise" is something Jesus wrote in a deleted bible book.

              Mother Mary became worried in time as Jesus was riling up the Jewish fuddy duddys who were controlling society with the bloodthirsty Romans.

             Good old Jehovah,  like the liar at the truck stop telling a tall tale,  Gnostics believe the author of the Old Testament, the christian and jewish god, Jehovah, is actually a fallen angel called  Lucifer.  There are many Christians, those who Love Jesus, who do not read the Old Testament which they consider a pack of lies. They are called Gnostic and I always got that and agnostic mixed up

              Only the Essene community provided the environment a peaceful half man, half god like Jesus would feel comfortable in. As it is today in 2013, religious leaders back then were also moral high ground hypocrites, and frequently complicit with dictators, tyrants and Fascists.   

            Jesus began his ministry and He kept pushing the envelope with how much the local authorities could tolerate. Jesus went into the main temple one day, and went bonkers in the market place. After observing the greed of bankers, he flipped all their tables over.  An anti-social act most of us wouldn't even consider. Mary knew the time for a major confrontation had come, but would Lucifer thwart him? 

         Mary advised and prepared him best she could, Lucifer then tempting him on his 40 day fast in the desert.  Other trials occurred, tempering Jesus fortitude.  "How many times do I have to tell you to fuck off ...... Satan!!"

            Jesus brazenly rode into the big city, amidst cheers from his followers, and was going to publicize the formation of his organization of healers. People didn't believe the stories that had been circulating about Jesus the Pagan Preacher, and he had some rockin' miracles he was going to perform. The bread and fish thing was a fluke, the magic was elusive. Primitive people understood it better because it was all they had.

       A Miracle Man they said. Mary had a bad feeling though, and notified Joseph of Arimathea who went to Pontius Pilate to try and keep Jesus out of trouble.

       Joseph explained to Pontius Pilate, that the best thing Pilate could do, was to let Jesus do his thing.   Just leave him be, the people will forget, Joseph told Pilate, 'Jesus' heretical outlook would weaken the psychological strangle hold the Pharisees had over the population, enabling the Romans, Joseph of Arimethea pointed out.

       Then an angry mob began forming-Pharisee dittoheads with pitchforks- and demanded that Jesus the Isis loving pagan needed to be crucified.  A whisper campaign had maliciously maligned Jesus because the religious leadership  needed to make sure this strange; miracle performing man would not infect proper society and ...... expose the moral high ground posturing of the Pharisees and Sadducees, who were the forerunners of todays Republican Party.

           "Things are going terribly wrong." Mary said, and pleaded with Joseph to go back to Pilate to help.
          "What happened to his magic?" Joseph of Aramithea asked Mary, as things went bad for Jesus.

"I don't know, that danged Lucifer    must have a trap spell on him or something." Mary said.            Pilate did the best he could, stalling any way he could, and washing his hands of the hysterical crowd outside. They were wound up in a frenzy of hate, like the false accusers at the Salem witch trials, more of a madness than hysteria. Crucify Him the crowd yelled.

Pilate hired guards, that he confidentially instructed to crucify Jesus, without breaking any bones if possible especially the feet. Anyways,  Jesus went up three hours before sundown, which gave him a chance of surviving, when he would be taken down at sundown as per the holy law. He was still alive, people speculate, when he was taken down, though he had lost far too much blood and muscles were completely severed. He was left for dead, spirited away to the cave, the Essene healers helped him recover from his severe injuries and 3 days later Mary Magdalene mistook him for the gardener if you remember your easter morning story.

 #4 . "Damn girl, you look like shit!" she said in the vernaucular of the day all wrapped up in bandages and shit."

Or maybe he died, or maybe Jesus and his homies had pulled off a "Jackass" type of stunt.   Jesus fulfilled the prophecy that the new  king would ride triumphant on a donkey and other prophecies were fulfilled during his ministry. Alternative historians ask; did he fulfill prophecy on purpose, so he would seem to be divine?  There seems to be no single truth, so I have woven this tale from tiny bone fragments of DNA Truthiness

                     The Marys' wept as Jesus was in great pain on the cross. All they had worked for would be ruined by the hysterical, sycophantic chumps of the evil Pharisees.   Decades after his death, did he escape to the far east,  and come back and settle in France? 

                     The Paulines ran away with Jesus' concepts eventually, and distorted or destroyed what they didn't like, and it was never the same.  It was easy to burn one book to rid the world of heresy. Then came the  slow turning of the patriarchal screw as years went by and censorship was common;  The Gnostic verses, The Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the Gospel of Thomas, and everything good, got cut from the new testament by the male dominated compilers of the Bible,  during the 4th Century.  Constantine was able to unite all the various sects during that time around 325 A.D.

         Invariably, they came up with something to use against women and pagans, then gave this Bible, the censored New Testament, along with the bi-polar madness of the Old Testament, to the Christian men. “Here is a small prize; The History of the World.” Manifest Destiny was born.

           History was written by the winners, the warriors, the dogmatic ideologues and the TYPE A fart knockers. These braying sycophants worship the crumbling façade of Manifest Destiny, and continue to perpetuate this predatory capitalist, earth destroying philosophy today. Not much more than a political Party, they banned Paganism and promoted this corrupt form of Christianity .

          Pagans are among history’s losers; hung, banished, burned, conquered and otherwise, in 21st century parlance, have been badly losing a hostile takeover bid.

                Today,  21st century paganism is progressive and positive
in its thoughts and actions, and they are embracing some of  the most thoughtful and  kind precepts; free of coercion, while tuning back into the earth.  

                 Eurocentric, women and pagan hating pinheads, codified brutality and repression in the vague wasteland of words called the Bible.
                 

                  Jesus was a heretic, a pagan if you will, and I can only hope He returns to reveal the truth.

    

IN THE MEANTIME WE HAVE THE CONSTITUTION
