Barry and Hilary have just came through the front door after another long Wednesday at school. There was a note from their mother, "Your father and I will be working till around 11:00 tonight, so please take care of things. Take the pie out; and when it completely cools, cover and put in fridge."
Hilary said, "Well, well Barry, is it finally time?”
Barry went to his room and brought back his camera which he has now rigged up with a motion detector. It wasn't long till the youngest got off his bus and went into the kitchen for an after school snack. "Don't you dare touch that pie, it's not for us, it's for Moms club meeting tomorrow." Hilary said sternly. Nine your old Rush was named after his fathers favorite talk show host, and was quite a rascal. Barry and Hilary were always being misquoted by Rush and little Rush seemed quite adept at fooling his teen age siblings with a variety of stunts.
A short while later Rush looked out his window and saw Hilary was taking the dog for a walk and he could also hear Barry’s Guitar Hero booming out from a nearby room. Stealthily sneaking back into the kitchen, he was mesmerized by the pie…… and pulled out a large spoon. Meanwhile the motion activated camera began to roll. Rush dug away and practically inhaled 6 of 8 pieces. He had eaten enough and was chewing down one last mega mouthful when Hilary walked into the kitchen. "Ah hah, you are SO in trouble you little pie addict!" she said laughing heartily.
"I am not an addict, I can quit anytime. Really, what is so funny," implored Rush and at the same time Barrys cell phone buzzer went off, a text from Hilary.” The pig is in the poke, over,” Hilary texted.
Barry hurriedly walked in and said, "You're busted and there is no way you can blame it on us because I got it awllllll on film." he said shutting off the camera. I'll have you on Youtube in 5 minutes and Mom and Dad'll have your butt hangin' on the barn door tomorrow."
"We may as well finish it now Hilary, one piece left for us, it's ruined anyways."
They finished the pie and Barry went back to his room to hide the tape from the young and devious Rush, who would find a way to blame them, and Hilary finished her walk with the dog. Later that evening, Barry's music was loud and he didn't hear the phone ring. "Hi mom," said Rush picking up the any way he could. His only hope now was to steal the evidence and fool his parents as long as possible.
"Hi son, are you getting ready for bed?"
"Yes mom" he said in a worried voice, then added, "I hate to be the one to tell you this but when I came in to get a drink of water Mike was finishing off the pie," which was true because Mike finished the pie and threw the pie plate in the sink. "Hilary and Barry ate it.” It is true that they ate some but certainly not IT, working in a couple of half-truths here to create and complete the false impression.
Rush’s mom became upset, "THAT WAS FOR THE BAKE SALE TOMORROW!"

This is the problem with neo-conservatives such as Billo the clown(as Keith Olbermann calls him), Half-truth Hannity and the master of deception, Rush Limbaugh. In their world two half-truths equal one whole truth. As they bear false witness and relate unsubstantiated rumors as facts, the basically deceptive nature of their entertainment is being illustrated. Not quite lies, they are unrelated truths hammered together to create a scurrilous false impression in peoples minds.
Glenn Beck does this with his Progressive conspiracy theories. I was a Rush Limbaugh listener from ‘92 to ‘98 and the poison I heard coming out of him made me realize that if this is the game that is played then there is to be no mercy for what happens to Republicans. Then George Bush won.
I thought the gloves were off with Bush, but he had the 9-11 sympathy; and with Rush Limbaugh it's too much like war. Like a mad dog locked on your leg, never releasing the grip --never seeing what is going on around him; not knowing it is okay to grow emotionally and mentally. It's as if they are still looking for an attaboy and a pat on the head from their parents.
Back to the three children, young Rush's deception was uncovered the next day with the taped evidence. Finally Barry had smartened up to catch the liar: 'half-truther' and was able to clear himself, since no jungle of deceptive statements could obfuscate the fact that the tape clearly showed what had happened. Rush managed to get out, "They photo shopped it, that never happened."

People mouthing exactly what was on the EIB network that day. I know because I listened to the show for 6 years and listened to brainwashed people as they recited his exact words as if they were their own.
It is no surprise to me that someone got wound up enough to walk into a Unitarian Universalist church and went on a murderous, liberal bashing rampage leaving.....? dead.
Preachers are much the same way as radio talk show hosts when they talk about this or that group and they use the demon card alot and people are fooled. Pastor Buddy Tipton locally, has detected a monstrous demonic presence that is centered in a park near the north entrance of Jungle Trail. He says good Christians are confused and depressed because of this presence. Well tell ya what Pastor Buddy...I'm hearing that this talking in tongues stunt is backfiring on you because maybe these demons are possessing people who talk in tongues. They just might not be angelic presences or the Holy Ghost. You all are the ones possessed!
And brainwashed in many cases, from the pulpits of hate that preachers have across this country and from AM talk radio and th6e half truths the Fox News hosts indulge themselves in.
What has happened my neo-con friends, is that ponderous political power plays along with the collapse of Reaganomics, (VooDoo economics: no offense Yemaya), has left people with a bitter taste in their mouth. The apologists and sycophant chumps persist in making this an Arab Israeli war in our country with "liberals" and "conservatives".
The logjam of the Liberal- Conservative debate is going to break soon and the rest of us will have our time. The Independent Majority is what I call us and we were taken aback at the party line and unanimous voting against the stimulus package here at the end of January. Meanwhile Rachel Maddow tells us power grids are down because of the recent snow and ice storms and people will be waiting....weeks...weeks? she questioned and Republicans are against rebuilding our power grid? People are finally seeing how they lie to gain control and they are a monolithic glob of corporate, kowtowing, Grey goo and they will tear down as many 'liberals' as they can because at this point it is all they know how to do.
People seemed to have wised up to what Republicans say and what they do. My favorite phrase for them are 'moral high ground hypocrites.' as they embrace god and flag . Maybe you see the pattern in recent history. In retrospect, Nixon was adept at foreign policy, and we may have a peaceful co-existence in the future with China, in part, because of his foresight. But I personally despised him at the time, an instinctual mistrust. In 9th grade, the day after the 1968 election, I was nearly suspended because I tore down a Nixon poster that said, "Our new President".
I was 14 and a little impulsive and really upset. The poster was in the hallway and it was chase scene music on this one. I had taken the poster down and was rolling it up to dispose of it when I spotted a teacher 50 feet down the hallway. Mission Impossible, run...run for your life...I ducked into a classroom....but alas.
Tricky Dick was a wielder of the deceptive dirty tricks that I've spoken about. Reagan was a launching pad for all these mean spirited neo-conservatives, from the bow tie biddies to the wormtongue waglappers. The lack of empathy and compassion for the American people has always been common among the monied elite, and an inability to balance a budget has dogged the Republicans the last 55years.
Although I voted for Reagan in 84 because of the clotted nothingness of Mondale, it is easy to see in retrospect, that he opened up the floodgates of grandiose excessive profit. The attitude that you can charge an overdraft fee of 34 dollars is a result of this type of greed. The ability to lie in your face is a special gift that the neo-conservatives possess.
Gotta run, but lastly, remember the Newt Gingrich Gopac memo where he instructs candidates for office on how to use code words to smear their opponents is part of the pattern of uncaring Republican deception. Dirty tricks...we can do better than that, and Democrats are not the answer either. The call goes out to the Independent Majority.
